Key Responsibilities:
- To manage, coordinate and facilitate support of optimal DB2 data ware house solution (IIAS appliance).
- Knowledge of IIAS Architecture & Ecosystem.
- Knowledge of IIAS Console, Appliance Security including Users and Privileges.
- Expertise in 24/7 critical dataware house proactive monitoring, management, timely identification and resolution of potential error/issues that helps maximum uptime.
- Experience in DB2/Oracle/SQL Server tools. Advanced level expertise in performance reports analysis & tuning, trouble shooting, database security, backup & recovery, capacity planning and maintenance procedures.
- Develop, enhance, improve & implement processes pertaining to DBA major functions like high availability, backup and recovery, performance tuning, storage management, maintenance management, audits & change management.
- Hands on Data export & import within & between different platforms & databases.
- Engaging DB2 support as required for resolving major & complex issues.
- Recommending and implementing database version upgrades for resolving existing bugs and to keep databases in vendor support matrix.
- To ensure database security compliance & to manage database audits inputs, close all assigned audit observations and to provide closing evidences related to DBA area to IT-QA team or Audit team in a timely manner.
- Proper implementation of disaster recovery sites & to prepare, maintain disaster management procedures to minimize downtime in case of disaster, if any.
- All the above accountabilities includes but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.
