ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking a skilled and experienced Database SQL Administrator to join dynamic IT team in Qatar. As a Database SQL Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our IT infrastructure and contributing to the overall success of our organization.


Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL databases to ensure high levels of performance and availability. Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security, and apply new patches and versions when required. Configure, install, and upgrade SQL Server instances, databases, and related services. Monitor database system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, integrity checks, and index optimization. Implement database security measures, including user access controls and permissions management. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems, including query tuning and deadlock analysis. Collaborate with development and IT teams to support database schema design and deployments. Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution related to database systems. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices for data management. Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, sustainability, and security. Configure, install, and upgrade SQL Server instances, databases, and related services. Monitor database system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues in real time. Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct database-related problems promptly to minimize downtime. Provide expert suggestions and recommendations for database solutions and improvements. Refine and automate regular database administration processes to increase efficiency. Track and document issues, changes, and procedures to maintain comprehensive records. Assist developers with query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema refinement to optimize application performance. Deliver 24x7 support for critical production database systems, ensuring minimal disruption. Perform scheduled maintenance, including backups, restores, and patching, and support release deployment activities after hours to minimize impact. Manage disaster recovery (DR) environments, including failover and failback procedures to ensure business continuity.

Required Profile

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in database management and SQL administration. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven at least

Years experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on SQL databases. Strong knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
