Job Title: Database Developer (MS SQL and MongoDB)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Developer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server /MongoDB databases. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and efficient database solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement database schemas, tables, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in MS SQL Server. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting. Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and server configuration. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security through appropriate database design and implementation. Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with application development teams to integrate database systems with applications. Participate in database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution. Stay up-to-date with the latest MS SQL Server features, tools, and best practices. Document database designs, procedures, and configurations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of database development processes and standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-3 years of proven experience as a Database Developer with a strong focus on MS SQL Server. Solid understanding of relational database concepts, principles, and best practices. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with ETL tools and processes (e.g., SSIS). Understanding of database security principles and implementation. Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.

Desired Skills:

Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus. Familiarity with database administration tasks. Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS for SQL Server). Knowledge of scripting languages Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
