VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company. VAM Systems is currently looking for Database Administrator (DBA) for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions: EDUCATION & Skills . Minimum BSc in Computer Science and Database administrator (DBA) or equivalent. . IT certification - e.g. OCP, Microsoft, AWS or any other IT specific certification is an advantage. . Knowledge of Oracle business applications such as e-Business. . Knowledge of common IT software and Databases technologies. . Highest proficiency in both written and oral English language. . High level of troubleshooting and communication skills required. EXPERIENCE . Minimum 3 to 5 years of IT experience. . Experience in administering databases systems like Oracle, Microsoft SQL,MYSQL etc. . Experience as Oracle E-Business Applications DBA. . Experience in Oracle APEX implementation and maintenance. . Experience in Database Backups including RMAN and any media manager tool like Veeam/Networker. . Experience in Disaster Recovery Site implementation for Oracle & MS SQL databases. . Experience in Cloud Technologies. . Experience in SQL and PL/SQL Scripting. . Experience in Linux/Wintel Scripting skills. . Minimum knowledge in SAN storage, Network protocols and virtualization technologies. . Experience in managing projects from planning to implementation. MAIN OBJECTIVES . Manage the Database Administration operations and Oracle E-Business activities, implementing, maintain, configure, and administer core databases such as but not limited to, Oracle, MS-SQL and other supported database engines. Moreover, responsible to troubleshoot, monitor ensuring proper functionality of databases on all supported platforms based on IT roadmap for on-premises and cloud base databases infrastructure environment such as AWS, Azure and Oracle etc. . Monitor and resolve Database issues related to operating system problems on supported platforms, build and maintain monitoring systems for various database servers, system and services. . Create and maintain all related documentation, schematics and reports. . Monitor, review and analyse incidents metrics and recurring issues/requests. . Proactively make recommendations for prevention and resolution to address and resolve identified problems. Review various databases reports and provides technical solutions and enhancements for the databases and EBS Application.
