Job Description

Role Summary:

The Data Scientist will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Processing

o Extract, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.


o Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance.

Analytics

o Apply statistical methods to solve business problems.


o Develop algorithms to optimize business processes (e.g., customer record segmentation, duplicate detection, recommendation for efficiency optimisation).

Visualization & Reporting

o Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.


o Translate complex results into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Collaboration

o Work closely with project implementation teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.


o Collaborate with data engineers to expedite data driven conclusions and opportunity areas.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).


o Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing.


o Experience with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Business Skills:

o Ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.


o Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Publications or project work demonstrating data science applications.

Accuracy and robustness of conclusions basis data study. Business value generated through data insights. Timeliness and quality of reports and dashboards. * Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of data-driven solutions.
