Role Overview:

As the Data Scientist, you will scout, evaluate, and integrate new data sources to enhance our predictive models and knowledge graph. Your role goes beyond daily database management; you will design and optimize the entire data pipeline. If you are passionate about data quality, interoperability, and enabling AI-driven insights, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, research, and evaluate external datasets, including genomic, proteomic, and clinical data, to enhance the knowledge graph and AI models. Design and optimize pipelines for ingesting diverse data sources, including APIs, bulk uploads, and streaming data. Select, deploy, and maintain database solutions, including SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases. Implement best practices for data validation, compliance, and privacy. Collaborate with engineering, data science, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow and fast iteration cycles.

Qualifications:

Five or more years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or a related role. Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with Big Data pipelines such as Spark and Kafka is a plus. Experience working with life sciences or healthcare datasets is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage external partnerships and negotiate data usage rights.
