2. JOB PURPOSE

Lead the implementation of quantitative and statistical models in order to effectively understand economic phenomena and anticipate relevant market trends. Also the role will lead collecting and evaluating relevant data and statistics to successfully identify economic risks or opportunities and to develop appropriate solutions in order to achieve better results.

3. ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Accountabilities

Data, Analytics and Statistical Economics Study statistical economics of Tourism field by gathering and evaluating relevant data in order to understand economic phenomenon and predict Tourism market trends through applying statistical methods and techniques. Lead the implementation of plans to solve economic issues, and interpret relevant Tourism market trends precisely in order to achieve better future results. Participate in the establishment of economic standards and guidelines, which are particularly used for Tourism trends forecast, and economic policy formulation. Ensure the unit always complies with defined guidelines and standards. Build effective relationships with strategic stakeholders to obtain required support to integrate findings and propose solutions. Lead the implementation of data analysis and data modelling projects, in line with defined requirements. Lead the identification and implementation of methods and best practices to improve respondent cooperation and optimize data collection approaches. Oversee the utilization of statistical tools using Python/R to apply frameworks and modelling to cleanse/validate data sets. Direct the unit to research new process improvement opportunities to source data streams and apply optimization techniques to improve model efficiencies. Ensure that the team is always updated with latest trends developments in the field of data analytics and data science and continuously apply the best tools, algorithms and technologies to further augment DCTs data initiatives. Review analytical results and models, communicate and present to top management and relevant teams as required. Convert the business insights into timely and actionable recommendation to uplift DCT's KPIs and to enable proactive data driven decision-making Manage the development, enhancement, and implementation of quantitative and statistical models in order to support forecasting activities and related applications.

Policies, Processes and Procedures Follow all section policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Collaboration Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to the area in order to facilitate flow of information to build awareness in those areas.

Day-to-Day Operations Follow the day-to-day operations set by the Line Manager in the Process Management & Development section to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs. Report on a regular basis to Process Management & Development Section Manager on their operational activities, challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation etc. as required to keep the Line Manager informed and updated about their activities.

EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES

Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics or Equivalent.

Experience

At least 5 to 6 years of experience in Econometrics, Statistics, Analytics, or Data Science role. Preferably, someone with a previous experience in visualization Software and applications. Also, an experience in trend analyses, multivariate statistics, sampling, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques, automation, generalization. Proficiency in high-level programming language
