Synopsis
In this role as a Data Quality Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining Ops datasets & reports, ensuring robustness, availability & high quality of the underlying data & numerous business and executive reports. You will spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data quality strategy aligned with the airline's operational goals.The Data Quality Manager will lead the data quality management efforts to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across the organization, taking full ownership for the quality of all dashboards, reports and underlying datasets used by the Ops division at Etihad.
Accountabilities

• Lead and manage the data quality team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.Develop and enforce data quality standards and processes, and support data-driven decision-making by providing high-quality data and actionable insights.
• To lead quality assurance analysts who will create and maintain master data models and "Reusable Data Assets (RDAs)" that will be used by the BI and Data Science stacks within the Operations data center of excellence. Work with DTI (IT) to translate business req into technical requirements for the ingestion of new datasets.
• You will also be responsible for the governance of all operational datasets and ensure PII is managed as per corporate policy and guidelines.Oversee the development and implementation of data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and rectify data issues.
• Monitor data quality metrics and report on data quality performance to senior leadership.Accountable for ensuring data cleansing activities are performed to remove duplicates, correct errors, and maintain data consistency.Identify opportunities for data quality improvement and implement corrective actions and develop and maintain data quality improvement plans.Lead collaborator with IT, to resolve data quality issues Communicate and present dataset quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Share knowledge with the rest of the ops analytics team to upskill existing team members on data quality and data governance.Work closely with the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team within DTI.Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and roll-out of new systems and upgrades of the existing ones to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without any severe defects or bugs.

Education & Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data science.
• 5-7+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Previous experience developing and enforce data quality standards and processes.
• Experience using SQL, and cloud-based data warehouse (Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, AWS).
• Experience using GitHub or similar tools for code management.
• Experience within the aviation/travel industry in the operational areas is a plus.
