Job Description

1. CBUAE Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Develop and implement a Data Management Framework (DMF) to ensure
compliance with CBUAE regulations, specifically targeting data quality, security, and traceability.
Ensure data products meet CBUAE Consumer Protection Regulations, including data minimisation, secure storage, and controlled access.
Manage data lifecycle in compliance with CBUAE guidelines on outsourcing and data localization, ensuring data confidentiality and authenticity.
Document data sets and identify data owners to maintain accountability for data quality standards.
2. Data Quality & Management
Implement rigorous data quality reviews to assess completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and uniqueness of data.
Monitor data quality indicators and report to senior management and the Board regarding the robustness of the data infrastructure.
Establish and enforce policies for data retention, retrieval, and destruction.
Ensure data traceability and provenance, mapping data sources to regulatory reporting requirements.
3. Data Product Development & Strategy
Define the product vision for data products, driving initiatives related to AML monitoring, risk assessment, and regulatory reporting (e.g., BRF).
Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams to build secure infrastructure for data storage and processing.
4. Risk Management & Reporting
Collaborate with risk management to align data models with CBUAE Model Management Standards (MMS) and Model Management Guidance (MMG).
Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, including significant breaches, and manage reporting to CBUAE.
Ensure data supports accurate regulatory reporting for Basel III capital calculations and other statistical returns.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data product management, data governance, or regulatory technology (RegTech) within the UAE banking sector.
Regulation Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CBUAE Rulebooks,
o Data Management Module (5.1-5.6).
o Consumer Protection Regulation (Article 6).
o Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions Screening Guidelines.
Skills: Expertise in data quality frameworks, SQL, data modeling, and data privacy principles (data minimization, encryption).
