Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data processing systems and pipelines. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in data infrastructure with practical development skills to create scalable, efficient, and reliable data solutions that support our analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

? Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming data

? Build and optimize data models for relational and NoSQL databases

? Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into analysis-ready formats

? Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse architectures

? Write clean, efficient Python code for data processing, transformation, and integration

? Create and maintain documentation for data flows, models, and processes

? Collaborate with data scientists to implement and optimize machine learning data pipelines

? Monitor data quality and implement validation processes to ensure data integrity

? Implement data security and compliance controls according to organizational requirements

? Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and processing issues

? Optimize database and data pipeline performance

Required Qualifications

? 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role

? Strong proficiency in Python programming for data engineering tasks

? Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern tools and frameworks

? Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles

? Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases

? Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies

? Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop)

? Understanding of ETL/ELT principles and implementation

? Experience with cloud data services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

? Basic understanding of data governance and security practices

? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)

? Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

? Experience with infrastructure as code for data systems

? Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows

? Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)

? Understanding of data quality management and testing practices

? Knowledge of version control for data and schema management

? Experience with data cataloging and metadata management

? Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect)

? Basic understanding of machine learning workflows and requirements
