As a key player in our data management and analytics department, you\'ll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on our business operations. We\'re looking for someone passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and driving our company\'s success forward. Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
- Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
- Create high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
- Read, extract, transform, stage, and load data to selected tools and frameworks as required.
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Bachelor\'s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.
- Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable \xe2\x80\x98big data\xe2\x80\x99 data stores.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
