to support our customer, with end-to-end oversight of data center activities. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep technical knowledge of fiber and copper cabling, power evaluation, rack space planning, and network/server connectivity from multiple vendors. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in delivering colocation data center projects and will serve as the on-ground technical coordinator ensuring seamless deployment and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Implementation
Manage and supervise all on-site data center activities including cabling, power, rack space, and equipment installations.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for timely and quality execution of work.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies during the project lifecycle.
Cabling and Connectivity
Design and implement structured cabling systems using fiber and copper technologies.
Ensure optimal cable management for performance, redundancy, and scalability.
Perform end-to-end connectivity testing and documentation.
Rack and Power Planning
Evaluate and manage rack space requirements for servers, routers, switches, and other critical IT infrastructure.
Coordinate power provisioning and load balancing across the racks.
Work with facilities to ensure availability of required power and other system.
Network and Server Integration
Oversee the integration of switches, routers, and servers from various vendors.
Ensure proper IP planning, patch panel layout, and logical connectivity.
Collaborate with networking teams for configuration, security, and performance optimization.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary technical point of contact between colo provider, customer and third-party vendors.
Validate vendor deliverables and ensure SLA compliance.
Prepare regular status reports and escalate issues as needed.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation including rack layouts, connectivity maps, power usage, and cabling routes.
Ensure adherence to all data center standards, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of
5 to 8 years of hands-on experience
in data center infrastructure management.
Proven experience in delivering
colocation or data center build-out projects
.
Deep knowledge of:
Structured cabling standards (fiber and copper)
Rack and power design
Data center network topology and connectivity
Hardware from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, etc.)
Familiarity with data center environmental controls (HVAC, fire suppression, etc.) is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
* CDCP, CCNA/CCNP, or other data center/networking certifications.
