Our client is a global construction company is seeking Data Architect to join their data team in Dubai. The Data Architect will be responsible for leading the Data Architecture, Data Engineering and Data Infrastructure functions within the global Data team. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement required data architecture and engineering strategies, ensuring the efficient and effective management of organisational data assets.

Key Accountabilities:

• Leading the design, development, and implementation of data architectures that align with technology and business strategies, including transitions and target operating states.
• Leading the data engineering team responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, data solutions and data infrastructure. This includes overseeing the development of processes, data integration frameworks, and data quality checks.
• Establishing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Complying with regulatory requirements and implementing industry best practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across the organisation.
• Working with key stakeholders across Multiplex to understand their data needs or concerns and translate them into technical requirements.
• Providing guidance and expertise on data-related matters and driving alignment between data architecture, data engineering, our IT functions and business objectives or goals.
• Overseeing the development and maintenance of the data repositories that departments use to access and analyse data.
• Ensuring that data is available and structured in a way that promotes and delivers effective decision-making across the organisation.
• Defining and documenting frameworks, standards and models such as Data Modelling, Data Dictionaries, Master Data Management, Data Integration, Metadata Management and Data Operations.
• Effective stakeholder management and reporting, ensuring our stakeholders are well informed from executives through to those delivering and supporting business critical operational services.
• Contributing to achieve the best cost / performance outcomes on our global data and analytics platform.
• Working hand in glove with the Strategy and Architecture team, and closely with our Digital Transformation office, ensuring standards and best practices are adopted, whilst aligning with business priorities.

Key Skillset Required:

• Proven experience leading data architecture and engineering initiatives for complex, or global organisations, with a focus on Azure data technologies.
• Expertise in data modelling, database design, data integration, data acquisition and best practices.
• Proven ability to build effective data models, critical data lists, enterprise data catalogues, mastership matrices, data flow diagrams, data principles and standards.
• Understanding of Master Data Management technologies, processes and establishing design principles.
• Effective communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A delivery and result oriented mindset with a hands-on attitude, with an understanding of the long-term implications of short to intermediate decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire whilst being clear and concise.
