Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Design:
Design
end-to-end modern data architectures
leveraging technologies such as
Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and AWS data services
.
Develop robust data pipelines and frameworks to enable
data ingestion, transformation, and consumption
in a scalable and secure manner.
Architect
medallion-style data models (bronze, silver, gold layers)
for structured and unstructured data to support analytics and AI use cases.
Define and implement
best practices
for data modeling, data governance, and data security across the enterprise data platform.
Evaluate and recommend the
right technology stacks
for modern data solutions (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Delta Lake, etc.).
Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and AI specialists to ensure data solutions meet business requirements.
Serve as a
trusted advisor
to project teams, providing strategic guidance and oversight for data architecture decisions.
Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team on best practices and new trends in data engineering and architecture.
Data Platform Enablement & Optimization:
Drive the adoption and optimization of
Data Platform
and related data services, ensuring performance, reliability, and security standards are met.
Identify data performance bottlenecks and implement
scalability strategies
for high-volume data scenarios.
Support data integration initiatives, including API integrations, external data feeds, and hybrid environments.
Documentation & Standards:
Develop and maintain
comprehensive architecture documentation
, including data flow diagrams, integration blueprints, and data governance policies.
Establish and enforce
data quality standards and data lineage frameworks
to support enterprise data governance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
7+ years of experience
in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles.
Hands-on experience with
MS Fabric (OneLake, Direct Lake, Data Factory), Azure Synapse, Databricks, and AWS data services
(e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3).
Strong knowledge of
modern data platforms
(Lakehouse, Medallion architecture, Delta Lake).
Expertise in
data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices
.
Familiarity with
data pipeline orchestration tools (Azure Data Factory, Airflow, etc.)
and real-time streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka).
Proven ability to
work in multi-cloud environments
(Azure, AWS) and to select appropriate tools based on business needs.
Strong understanding of
enterprise BI tools
(e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and how they integrate with modern data platforms.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to
engage with both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Attributes:
Certifications in
Azure Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, or similar

Experience working on

Bachelors or Masters degree in
