Job Description

This role is responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing databases, as well as designing and implementing BI solutions to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database management, data analytics, reporting, and BI tools, along with leadership capabilities to oversee a team and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Database Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Manage database backups, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate databases with applications and reporting systems. Business Intelligence & Data Analytics:

Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decision-making. Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and business performance. Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration from multiple sources. Ensure BI tools and platforms are optimized, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements. Profile:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in database administration and business intelligence. Proven experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView. Strong expertise in SQL scripting, query optimization, and database performance tuning. Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling. Proficiency in BI tools, data visualization, and reporting. Knowledge of cloud database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google BigQuery, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
