: Data Analyst cum Category Executive

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Location: Dubai, UAE

Role Purpose

The Data Analyst cum Category Executive will consolidate, structure, and analyze sales and marketing data from multiple internal and external sources.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Data Management (3-4 days per month)

Collect sales data from different internal departments and distributors (2 days per month). Consolidate and clean data from various formats and sources (Excel, CSV, ERP extracts, etc.). Format and standardize datasets for consistency across channels and categories. Maintain updated master files and trackers.

2. Reporting (5-6 days per month)

Prepare category management report / Develop pivot tables...

3. Category Management:

Analysis: Month-over-month and year-over-year sales comparisons Product or category contribution analysis Price plan and competition check. Promotion uplift analysis .... Recommend: Product performance improvement opportunities. Distribution or visibility gaps. Promotion or pricing optimizations. Seasonal performance patterns ...

4. EXECUTION and follow up:

Follow up on category plan and action plan (key category / product VS plan VS channel VS store). Support the implementation of collaterals (signages, price labels, POS materials). Coordinate with sales, merchandising, and creative teams to ensure smooth rollout of trade marketing initiatives.

Profile & Skills

Ideal Background

Masterdegree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field. 1-3 years' experience in

FMCG

Retail

Distribution environment

SKU-level reporting

.

Technical Skills

Strong Excel proficiency

(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, basic charts). Knowledge of

Power BI

(preferred) or other dashboarding tools.

PowerPoint

proficiency for visual reporting. Comfortable handling large datasets and multiple data sources.

Soft Skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to translate numbers into clear insights and actions. Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills with cross-functional teams.
