Job Description

Driving business insights through data analysis within a retail environment. The Data Analyst will interpret sales, customer behaviour, and inventory trends to support strategic decisions across operations, merchandising, and marketing. The position plays a key role in improving retail performance and enabling data-led decision-making within IdeaCrate.

Key Responsibilities :

1.Sales & Performance Analysis

Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data across all store locations Identify top-performing and underperforming products and categories Monitor region-wise sales trends and growth opportunities Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and discounts Build and maintain dashboards for real-time performance tracking Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to recommend data-driven actions
2.Customer Behavior & Segmentation

Study customer purchasing patterns to uncover trends and preferences Segment customers based on demographics, loyalty, and buying behavior Track customer retention, repeat purchase rate, and lifetime value Analyze feedback and customer satisfaction data for improvement insights Support marketing teams with data on customer targeting and personalization Provide reports that influence loyalty program design and execution
3.Inventory & Supply Chain Insights

Analyze stock movement and inventory turnover across stores and warehouses Forecast demand based on historical sales and seasonal trends Identify slow-moving and excess inventory to reduce holding costs Track stock availability and product lifecycle performance Support replenishment planning with accurate data models Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment
4.Reporting & Dashboard Development

Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau Generate automated weekly/monthly reports for stakeholders and department heads Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all data reports Develop visualizations that simplify complex data for non-technical teams Monitor KPIs across functions like sales, inventory, customer service, etc. Continuously improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and usability
5.Collaboration & Business Support

Work closely with marketing, sales, and retail operations to understand data needs Translate business questions into analytical problems and deliver actionable insights Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for strategic projects or executive requests Train and support non-technical users on how to access and use data tools Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner Stay updated with retail industry trends and analytics best practices
6.Data Quality & Process Improvement

Ensure accuracy and consistency of data collected from POS, CRM, and ERP systems Conduct regular audits to identify data gaps, anomalies, and reporting errors Work with IT and data teams to resolve system integration or data sync issues Develop and document data definitions, processes, and validation rules Recommend process improvements to enhance data flow and reporting efficiency Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance standards . Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field Postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc, or PG Diploma) in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Quantitative Methods - Preferred Relevant certifications in Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), Tableau Desktop Specialist, SQL, Python, or R programming - Added Advantage Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in data analysis within the retail or e-commerce sector, with strong skills in sales, inventory, and customer data insights using tools like SQL and Power BI.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
