The Data Analyst is a role dedicated to analyzing data and generating high-level reports to the Director General.
Data Collection:
Gather data from various sources, including field studies, databases, and reports received from operating company.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
· Clean, organize, and analyze collected data to extract meaningful insights.
· Use statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
Report Generation:
· Prepare reports and presentations that communicate research findings and data analysis results.
· Translate complex data into accessible and understandable formats.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and researchers to integrate data findings into conservation strategies.
· Communicate findings to colleagues, stakeholders, and the public through reports and presentations.
Continuous Learning:
· Stay updated on the latest research and developments in ornithology, ecology, and conservation science.
· Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Data Management:
· Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with data protection regulations.
· Maintain organized and accessible data repositories.
Capacity Building:
· Provide training and support to staff and volunteers in data collection and analysis techniques.
· Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the Fund.
Requirements
Minimum required Qualification: Bachelors degree in ecology, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree is advantageous.
Experience:
· Proven experience in data collection, and analysis.
· Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS)
Strong analytical skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively.
