Dairy and Cheese Counter Attendant

Job Summary:

The Dairy and Cheese Counter Attendant is responsible for serving customers at the dairy and cheese counter, preparing, slicing, and packaging dairy products, maintaining product displays, ensuring food safety standards are followed, and providing information and recommendations to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with selecting dairy and cheese products. Slice, weigh, and package cheese and dairy items according to customer requests. Label products accurately with product names, weights, prices, and expiration dates. Arrange and replenish displays in an attractive and organized manner. Monitor product freshness and remove expired or spoiled items. Maintain cleanliness of the counter, display cases, and tools in compliance with food safety standards. Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers (e.g., cheese types, storage tips, pairings). Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors of restocking needs. Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements and Skills:

Previous experience in food retail or a dairy/cheese counter (preferred). Basic knowledge of cheese types, dairy products, and proper storage practices. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail in labeling and handling products. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to cleanliness and food safety practices.
