Overview

**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

+ The Cyber Security Officer Trainer is responsible for assisting the SCSO with training and monitoring to ensure CS compliancy IAW CENTCOM, ARCENT, AR 25-2 and DoD 8570 policy and guidance. The CSOT is responsible for ensuring that all systems are regularly scanned and audited in accordance with applicable DoD policy and procedures, and any incidents are documented and accounted for as necessary through signal trace channels. Candidate will perform scheduled and unscheduled CS audits to ensure ASG-KU, and subordinate units, are following overarching CS guidance. The SCOT will also maintain constant overview of all ASG-KU and Vectrus LCV KU TO Accounts within Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ACTCS) to make sure all users remain current. Conduct training classes for ASG-KU in Cyber Security.

Responsibilities

+ Provide Cyber Security oversight, guidance and support to the general user IAW AR 25-2 and ARCENT policy.

+ Removal of users from the ARCENT network for any CS non-compliances.

+ Responsible for ensuring and documenting that all systems are regularly scanned and audited in accordance with applicable DoD policy and procedures, and that those incidents are documented and accounted for as necessary through leadership.

+ Will assist Senior Cyber Security Officer (SCSO) with the prompt resolution of all ASG-KU CS incidents which includes verification, network protection, remediation, retraining, ITSM resolution5.Ensure all ARCENT network users with an elevated account are sufficiently baselined

+ and computer environment certified IAW DoD 8570 and ARCENT policy.

+ Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.

+ Will accompany SCSO on site surveys for ASG-KU unit and subordinate unit's network extension requests.

+ Perform regular monitoring of the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) to ensure CS training compliance of ASG-KU ARCENT network users.

+ Will perform Trusted Agent (TA) duties i.e. issue ASCLs to FNs10.Will request and issue Alternate Smart Card Logon (ASCL) for LCV KU TO FNs.

+ Will QC all FN ARCENT network account request packets for ASG-KU Command and ARCENT AO approval.

+ Must be able to perform SCSO duties in their absence.

+ Teach Cyber Security Courses.

+ Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High School graduate

+ Bachelors Degree Preferred

+ Security+ with CompTia continuing education enrollment, computing environment certification IAW ARCENT guidance required

+ CISSP / CASP preferred

+ CAC eligible

+ Experience:

+ Six (6) years of practical experience working with various data (network and system) technologies, with a minimum of two of those years focused on security.

+ Understanding of basic DoD facility security requirements.

+ Knowledge of IAVA/ IAVM mitigation measures and techniques i.e. Retina, patching, etc.

+ Two years of practical experience teaching Cyber Security Classes.

+ Skills:

+ Supervisory skills including a professional demeanor, work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and other supervisory levels of management.

+ Exercise discretion and good judgment possess high-level organizational, attention to detail and deadlines and planning skills.

+ Ability to communicate orally and in written English and must possess an advanced level of computer skills in the use of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

+ Must be familiar with systems:

+ Microsoft Windows Operating System

+ ITSM (Remedy)

+ Active Directory

+ Risk Management Framework (RMF)

+ Physical Layer Technologies

+ ACAS

+ Retina

+ Working Conditions:

+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in

+ areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
