Position Overview
The Customs Co-worker role supports day-to-day customs documentation and clearance activities for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate processing, compliance with Dubai Trade requirements, and timely coordination to support smooth logistics operations in Dubai.

Role Summary
The Customs Co-worker is responsible for processing customs documentation, handling BOE activities, updating records, and coordinating shipment-related data to support efficient clearance operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Process DP World payments on the same day of BOE or ED date
  • Download and merge inbound documents within 24 hours of BOE processing
  • Download and merge outbound documents within 24 hours of receiving complete documentation
  • File non-remittance claims within two days of receiving final SWB
  • Create folders and save outbound files after ED processing
  • Check and update COK status for inbound shipments
  • Support inbound and outbound processing to meet assigned KRAs
  • Verify correctness and completeness of documents before processing
  • Process inbound and outbound BOEs
  • Check and update invoice and EDI data on EL master files and save records in shared folders
  • Create and forward shipments from DCO within ATD plus two days and escalate issues when required
  • Follow up on escalated documentation cases
  • Check BLs for consumables shipments within 24 hours of receiving SWB
  • Ensure complete document sets are ready for handover
  • Update BOE numbers in master files to ensure all documents are processed
  • Update EL master data based on arrival reports and ITM
  • Update consumables trackers and verify documents on the same day of notification
  • Track inbound documents to ensure checks are completed within ATD plus two days
  • Process and share shipment information within 24 hours of arrival
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the department head as required
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Entry-level experience in customs or logistics operations
  • Knowledge of Dubai Trade systems and processes
  • Good computer skills with MS Excel and MS Office
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Good written and spoken English proficiency
  • Alert, proactive, and detail-oriented attitude
