Position Overview
The Customs Co-worker will be responsible for processing customs-related documentation, updating shipment records, and supporting inbound and outbound clearance activities in line with internal KPIs. The role requires accuracy, speed, and coordination with internal teams to meet clearance timelines.
Key Responsibilities

  • Process DP World payments on the same day as BOE or ED dates
  • Download and merge inbound documents within 24 hours of BOE processing
  • Download and merge outbound documents within 24 hours of receiving complete documentation
  • File non-remittance claims within two days of receiving final SWB
  • Create and manage folders and documentation for outbound shipments after ED processing
  • Check and update COK status for inbound shipments
  • Support inbound and outbound clearance activities to meet individual and team KRAs
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of documents prior to processing
  • Process inbound and outbound BOE transactions
  • Check and update invoice and EDI data in the EL master file on ATD basis
  • Save invoice and EDI files in designated common folders
  • Create and forward shipments from DCO within ATD plus two days and escalate issues when required
  • Follow up on escalated documents to ensure resolution
  • Review BLs for consumables shipments within 24 hours of receiving SWB and update records
  • Ensure complete document sets are ready for handover
  • Update BOE numbers and arrival information in master tracking files
  • Update consumables trackers and check documents on the same day notifications are received
  • Track inbound documents to ensure checks are completed within ATD plus two days
  • Share shipment information within 24 hours of arrival for assigned shipments
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department head
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Entry-level experience or exposure to customs or logistics documentation is an advantage
  • Good computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of Dubai Trade systems
  • Good data entry speed with strong attention to detail
  • Good English proficiency in written and spoken communication
  • Alert, proactive attitude with ability to manage multiple tasks
