Customs Co-worker - Emirates Logistics - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Customs Co-worker Dubai role supporting inbound and outbound customs documentation and clearance activities for Emirates Logistics in Dubai, UAE. This entry-level position focuses on accurate processing, timely system updates, and coordination with customs and port platforms to ensure smooth shipment movement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process DP World payments on the same day as BOE or ED dates
  • Download and merge inbound documents within 24 hours of BOE processing
  • Download and merge outbound documents within 24 hours of receiving complete documentation
  • File non-remittance claims within 2 days of receiving the final SWB
  • Create folders and save outbound files after ED processing
  • Check and update COK status for inbound shipments
  • Support inbound and outbound processing to meet assigned KRAs for self and the team
  • Verify correctness and completeness of documents before processing
  • Process inbound and outbound BOE accurately and on time
  • Check and update invoice and EDI data on the EL master file on an ATD basis
  • Save invoice and EDI files in shared folders as per procedures
  • Create and forward shipments from DCO on an ATD plus 2 days basis and escalate issues when required
  • Follow up on escalated documentation until resolution
  • Review BLs for consumables shipments within 24 hours of receiving SWB and update records
  • Ensure complete document sets are ready for handover
  • Update BOE numbers in the master file to ensure end-to-end processing
  • Update EL master based on arrival reports and ITM
  • Update consumables tracker and verify documents on the same day notifications are received
  • Track inbound documents to ensure checks are completed by ATD plus 2 days
  • Process and share information for Elux and MWPP shipments within 24 hours of arrival
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the department head as required
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Entry-level experience in customs, logistics, or documentation processing
  • Knowledge of Dubai Trade systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office with strong MS Excel skills
  • Good data entry speed with high accuracy
  • Good English proficiency in written and spoken communication
  • Alert, proactive, and detail-oriented attitude
