POSITION SUMMARY You'll be Ensuring that activities related to inbound shipment (system transactions, documentation) are completed as per agreed timelines to achieve service levels agreed with business and supervise activities of service provider for accuracy and compliance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE ... Conduct audit in 3PL warehouse to check for any non-conformance based on QA guidelines. Liaise with transport planning supervisor to ensure that the fleet used for Import operations meets requirement. Compare tracking sheet against SAP pending Purchase Order based on expected delivery date. Ensure document set accuracy by verifying against requirement. Establish and monitor SLA for handover of documents to clearing agent. Verify registration formalities of any new material included in the shipment. Validate fund requirement and availability for on-time clearance of shipments. Provide daily visibility of updated ETA of upcoming shipments. Track on-time clearance of shipments with a maximum lead time of 2 days from ATA. Record detention and demurrage against each shipment, if any, with proper Root Cause Analysis. Establish and sustain mechanism for providing authorization to clear shipments. Collect original HC for shipments that require DIP and co-ordinate with warehouse to maintain stocks for inspection within 3 working days from receipt of container. Track container In / Out movement to ensure empty is deposited during free time. Any deviation must be recorded with Root Cause Analysis. Maintain updated HS code database of all materials imported. Provide PO as per agreed process. Verify invoice against shipment by including copy of delivery order signed by concerned warehouse staff. Resolve any discrepancy by co-ordinating between NBS and service provider. Monitor on-time payment to maintain credibility with service provider. Import Monitoring Sheet - Upcoming shipments status with pull out plan.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL... Master's degree preferably in Supply Chain and Logistics. 0 to 2 years' experience in logistics. Certification in custom clearance and import documentation will be an added advantage.
