Job Description



Role summary:

The CDR will be responsible for carrefour express stores in the Dubai/Sharjah region (70 stores), and will work across all MARS categories (Chocolate, Pet, Food, Ice Cream, Cakes, Biscuits, fruity confections and Be Kind):

Distribution of Mars portfolio across stores as per the guidelines

Execution of contracted displays in the store as per the Perfect Store requirements

Execution of activation plans provided, and ensuring perfect compliance with the plans

Enabling the delivery of the sales targets associated to the plans

Monitoring shelf life of products across categories and stores

Analyzing category performance across carrefour express

Visiting their appointed stores and delivering the following tasks:

Enhancing and maintaining customer relationships

Taking manual orders

Checking stock levels and managing OOS's

Following up on deliveries

Owning the relationship between MARS and key personnel in store

Ensuring implementation of planograms

Managing the planning, delivery and execution of events & stock management

Managing the follow up and execution of LPO's with the customer services team

Indirectly managing 7 merchandisers

Supporting their field sales manager with ad hoc work as required (the level of work in each area will vary by store, and line manager will provide clarity on going on what is required on this area) Identifying further opportunities in store on top of the store aligned business plans, and working with their field sales manager to deliver these to drive incremental results Creating a feedback/reporting loop with the Field Sales Manager to ensure proper communication cycle

Role Description

First & foremost, the CDR will be responsible for delivering world class in store execution of MARS brands in their stores - delivering perfect compliance across key location in the store - shelf, check out and off-shelf display. Ensuring implementation of all BDA outputs in store. This will require them to ensure the merchandising team for their store territory are enabled to deliver their KPI's, and energized to do so, and handling any issues as required in order to deliver the sales targets.

In addition, the CDR will be personally responsible for delivering their own tasks, as listed above, in order to deliver the sales plan. The CDR will be supported by their line manager to ensure they are enabled to deliver these tasks.

In summary - the CDR will ultimately be responsible for the in-store execution of the business plan - so will be expected to show leadership, pro-activity, and initiatives in overcoming any challenges they face in store on the execution of the above priorities.

  • You should expect to spend 80% of time in the field, vs. 20% in the office
Key Measures

Enabling & ensuring the delivery of the merchandiser KPI's, measured by the field sales manager Perfect store auditing Delivery of the sales target associated to the plans, measured vs. the gross sales target by Field Sales Manager. In store Flexibility/agility and the willingness and ability to flow to additional work as required Deliver of incremental wins in store on top of the business plans provided, as measured by the Field Sales Manager

Background/Experience
  • Previous experience of retail/customer environment is required for this role
  • Previous work experience in the same or similar environment also preferred
  • Proficient in power point and excel
  • Analytical skills (analyzing trends and coming forth with solutions to declining categories
