Position Title:

Production & Quality (QA/QC) Engineer - Crushers Division

Reporting to:

General Manager / Operations Manager

Position Overview

The Production & Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily crusher operations while ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. The role combines production management with QA/QC responsibilities to achieve consistent output, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position ensures that aggregates and materials produced meet international standards and project requirements, while maintaining safety, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management

Supervise and control daily crusher plant operations to meet production targets (TPH). Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and reduce breakdowns. Monitor plant KPIs such as throughput, fines ratio, equipment utilization, and fuel consumption. Control stockpiles, loading, and dispatch to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Quality Control (QC)

Conduct sampling and testing of aggregates (gradation, flakiness index, silt content, etc.) as per ASTM/BS/AASHTO standards. Inspect raw feed, intermediate, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications. Ensure calibration and reliability of testing/laboratory equipment. Identify and resolve non-conformities in production processes or materials.

Quality Assurance (QA)

Implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001:2015 standards. Prepare and submit quality documents, test reports, and material certifications to clients/consultants. Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Develop corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Ensure compliance with HSE policies during crusher operations. Monitor dust control, noise levels, and waste management in line with environmental regulations. Promote safe work practices among operators and technicians.

Continuous Improvement

Analyze production and quality trends to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Recommend process modifications to improve product consistency and minimize rejects. Train plant staff on quality standards, inspection methods, and production procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 7 years of experience in crushers, aggregates, or related construction materials industry. Strong knowledge of aggregate production processes and testing standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, EN). Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality documentation procedures. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and QA/QC reporting tools. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month
