Crewing / Vetting Assistant

Job Description

1.Act as support to the Navigation and Vetting Manager and other members of company and vessels.

3.Actively assistance to the Vetting Manager for plan, coordinate and support of all SIRE matters and daily activities, maintaining up to date vetting records in the relevant databases

4.Assisting in organizing and monitoring all vetting inspections of the vessels in a timely manner in close cooperation with the Vetting Manager and Operation Departments

5.Assisting in ensuring that marine quality, safety and security activities of the company Fleet are at all times in full compliance with Company standards

6.Conducting reviews of reports and identify areas for improvement (Statistics)

7.Assisting in continuously updating the TMSA, review and modify procedures to improve safety management system

8.Participating in developing a crewing training matrix for continue improvement of our ship staff, liaise with management for office staff and seafarers training requirements and standards 9.Managing any other HSE matters under the guidance of HSEQ Team

10.Performing additional tasks as requested / instructed by the Technical Superintendent / Technical Director.

11.Providing general support and assistance to the Vetting Manager.

12.Communicating in a friendly, helpful, and non-prejudicial manner in your dealings with staff, crew, clients and / or customers as you will be regarded as a representative of your department as well as the Company, and you should behave accordingly. Matters regarding Accident, Near Miss, finding reports & Medical reports are confidential and must not be discussed except in the course of your duties. Taking an active part in the Safety, Environmental, Health and Quality culture within the company.

13. Ensure that all customer inquiries and issues are solved correctly and in a prompt and professional manner

14. Work to create any relevant support material for the team

15. Respectful and with high level of confidentiality

16. Excellent communicator, both oral and written

17. Strong problem solving and communication skills

18. Enjoy being the first line of support and troubleshooting issues

19. Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve customer support tickets

20. Able to multi-task efficiently under time pressure

21. Able to work with cutting edge technology and assimilate information rapidly

22. Proven experience in managing a service and support focused team culture

26. Prepare the required support documents, report and update solutions to avail adequate documentation for problem solving and supporting users effectively.
