Credit Controller

Job Description
As a credit controller, you will administer the credit control function, ensuring all outstanding debts are collected on time. You will be critical in managing our credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payment collection and minimizing credit risks. This also includes setting targets and KPIs and implementing relevant policies and procedures. You will also contribute to maintaining a healthy cash flow and optimizing our financial performance.
Key Responsibility:

Credit Risk & Assessment
Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers. Set and monitor customer credit limits in line with company policy. Ensure contracts and agreements reflect appropriate payment terms.

Collections & Cash Flow
Proactively follow up with clients via email, phone, and meetings to ensure timely payments. Negotiate payment terms or instalment plans with overdue accounts. Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Accountant to reconcile receipts and update customer accounts. Escalate high-risk or overdue accounts to management and recommend legal action/write-offs if necessary.

Monitoring & Reporting
Maintain and review AR aging reports, highlighting overdue balances. Prepare weekly cash collection forecasts for management. Provide dashboards and KPIs on debtor days, collection performance, and credit risk exposure. Conduct collection review meetings with sales and finance teams.

Internal & External Coordination
Work closely with the sales and operations team to ensure Customers adhere to agreed payment schedules. Support dispute resolution related to invoices, services, or contractual obligations. Ensure credit control procedures comply with company policies and UAE legal requirements
