Job Description

The Credit Controller is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable balances while ensuring positive customer relationships are maintained. This role requires monitoring credit limits, assessing creditworthiness, resolving payment issues, and minimizing bad debt exposure. A strong communicator with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills will succeed in this role while supporting overall financial stability and cash flow.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage outstanding customer accounts to ensure timely collections. Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers and assess risk. Set and review credit limits in coordination with the finance team. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies. Issue accurate invoices, statements, and payment reminders. Prepare aging reports and collection forecasts for management. Liaise with sales, legal, and customer service departments regarding overdue payments. Recommend legal action or credit holds when necessary. Maintain records of collection efforts and customer communication. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable credit laws.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable. Solid understanding of credit risk, collections, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of local credit regulations and laws. Must Have Valid UAE Driving License
