We are seeking an experienced and analytically driven
Credit Controller
to manage the full credit cycle, from risk assessment to collections, while playing a strategic role in customer-level profitability analysis. This role requires a strong grasp of
data analytics
,
ERP systems
, and
business data management
to drive informed decisions, manage customer value chains and RP updates, and ensure high-quality credit control operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk & Customer Management:
Evaluate and approve customer credit limits based on financial data, payment history, and market exposure.
Conduct periodic reviews of credit limits, payment terms, and risk profiles.
Oversee and maintain accurate customer master data, including Responsible Party (RP) changes and value chain updates in ERP systems.
Receivables & Collections:
Proactively manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of dues.
Drive collection performance through structured follow-ups, reminders, and customer visits.
Resolve disputes and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless issue resolution related to claims, deductions, and pricing.
Customer Value Chain & System Updates:
Regularly update and maintain value chain hierarchies and RP assignments in ERP in collaboration with sales and master data teams.
Ensure system integrity for downstream reporting and customer hierarchy mapping.
Customer-wise P&L & BDA Reporting:
Prepare and analyze
customer-wise Profit & Loss statements
, factoring in sales, discounts, claims, costs, and receivables.
Collaborate with Sales and Commercial Finance to analyze the profitability of key accounts and identify improvement opportunities.
Support
Business Data Analytics (BDA)
initiatives using structured data for decision-making and reporting.
Provide ad hoc insights and dashboards related to DSO, overdue accounts, customer trends, and risk clustering.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
Perform detailed reconciliation of customer ledgers and ensure dispute-free AR records.
Deliver accurate aging reports, overdue summaries, and collection forecasts to management.
Support month-end closing with accurate accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
Audit & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, credit policies, and SOX/IFRS compliance.
Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for credit, RP, and master data changes.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business. CMA/CPA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience in credit control, preferably within FMCG/distribution in the UAE or GCC.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in
ERP systems
(SAP SD/FICO preferred, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
Advanced
Excel skills
(Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups)
Exposure to
Power BI, Tableau, or similar BDA tools
is highly desirable.
Experience preparing
customer-wise profitability analysis (P&L)
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
High attention to detail, with a proactive and analytical mindset
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Commercial, and IT teams
Language:
Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
Driving License:
UAE license preferred for field visits
