The Credit Controller is responsible for the prompt collections of all outstanding invoices due to the company and plays a vital role in the cash-flow of the organization ensuring credit given to customers is monitored and controlled effectively. The credit controller ensures the debtors ledger is maintained accurately by preforming monthly account reconciliations to ensure that all income due is received and accurately accounted for. The individual must be an effective communicator, a good team player who is keen to progress within a large corporate group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are responsible and are accountable for the monthly collection and maintenance of debtor accounts assigned to you.
You are to preform monthly follow up processes with the accounts assigned to you for LSP\xe2\x80\x99s (Logistics Service Provider) and/or buy & sell customers to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of ledgers are preformed to target on a monthly basis.
You are able to interpret and understand and explain the key movements in ledgers on a monthly basis.
You ensure that monthly reports are received and followed up on in a timely manner.
You ensure that all debts due are paid for in a timely manner.
You should strive to meet and exceed cash & debtor day targets as per the financial forecast.
You need to follow up on overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed time lines as per company guidelines.
You should ensure monthly meetings & communications occur with the relevant commercial and demand teams to follow up on all relevant debts to ensure they are managed effectively and in a timely manner.
You need to respond promptly, effectively and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
You post customer payments received promptly to their accounts and allocate accurately there after.
You ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
You will send out monthly customer statements/letters as required.
You are to assist in developing the credit management capability within the organization.
You are to assist in keeping the business up to date with new credit management techniques and practices.
You will propose bad debt write off for your accounts in conjunction with commercial as appropriate and when approved record and update the monthly movements.
You are flexible to provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested.
You are flexible to provide cover for other accounting functions as requested.
You will assist in delivering the internal and external audit process requirements.

Provide accurate cash projections on quarterly basis + Provide in-depth analysis of Cash Flow actual vs. projected + AR balance.
Requirements
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Cert/Diploma in Credit Management preferable
Bachelor of Commerce Degree
Minimum 3 Years in Pharmaceuticals / FMCG preferable
Minimum 3-4 Years in Credit Control
