Our client is a well-established food distributor and we are hiring a UAE experienced credit controller to join their Dubai head office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of outstanding and overdue payments and that bad debt write-offs are minimized to achieve DSO targets.
Role Summary
Evaluate new credit requests and conduct client credit checks; obtain commercial credit reports for new customers and recommend credit limits based on their credit risk evaluation.
Manage the sales ledger, prepare aging and month end accounts receivables reports on debtors ledger and be accountable for working capital.
Collaborate with sales team and customers for collections, aged debt and default payment escalations.
Prepare customer statements and accurate monthly credit control aging reports; respond to customer enquiries regarding their outstanding payments.
Upload invoices onto customer portals and ensure they are accepted and processed for payment.
Minimize bad debt write offs and ensure all are subject to correct authorization and sign off process.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in credit control and accounts receivable with strong expertise in analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ledgers and investigating and resolving any anomalies.
Prepare frequent Aging Reports and Collection targets for Management and for Sales Dept.
Strong commercial and business acumen to maximize company profits by minimizing debts and risks through effective DSO and aged debt management.
Education
Part-qualification in CIMA, ACCA or ACA is a strong advantage
Bachelor\'s degree
