In your role as a Creative Center Manager you are responsible to manage the Creative resources in Dubai, & South Africa with the purpose to drive profitable growth across all customer segments in the relevant markets in AME. You and your team are responsible to deliver winning fragrance solutions & innovations to IFF customers while managing available resources and budgets effectively aligned with the global Scent strategy.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities
In this position you will manage and execute the following activities:
Value to Market: Effective team management to respond to Value to Market projects with the aim to achieve profitable growth
Adequate resource allocation to answer & win customer briefs in line with cost to serve framework
Establishment of clear service & business model
Effective team management & mobilization across the various functions
Ensure definition & execution of creative strategy linked to the commercial strategy for key projects
Partnership with commercial leaders on customer strategy to drive business growth
Lead / Drive category specific projects or business growth opportunities for region or center
Innovation Management: Leverage IFF innovations across categories (technologies, value propositions, tools) to create a competitive advantage
Build strong team capabilities to leverage and apply existing and upcoming technologies & innovations in customer briefs
Use and drive Holistic Scent Design Principles
Adapt / Push category offering for AME market requirements through value proposition building.
Commercialize & deploy innovation to market.
Build internal training programs to work with technologies and innovation tools
Build close network with Innovation centers & other creative centers to be up to date on innovation offering and feedback needs and market requirements
Operations Management: Ensure effective and efficient work processes & support services implemented in the creative center
Build sampling capabilities and efficiencies to support project pipeline \xe2\x80\x93 Focus on Speed & Quality
Ensure analytical setup & capabilities in the creative center
Build fragrance development support infrastructure (sample order & shipping) and also includes IT infrastructure and system setup
Capex management of Creative Center, Design Studio, & Operations
Operational budget management in partnership with regional finance team
Value Creation: Ensure profitable growth through value creation projects addressing supply chain issues and Cost Of Goods Sold variations
Support Reformulation & Formula optimization program
Build effective margin in the project framework.
Setup the relevant organisation to support and govern value creation initiatives.
Talent Management: Ensure growth of key talents.
Build Individual Development Plans for key talents and ensure execution of those plans
Build next generation of talents by injecting new talent into the organisation
Coach and mentor weak performers when possible and ensure right level of talent across all the departments.
Build the desired culture and team collaboration across teams.
Governance: Ensure right goverance for Project inflow and outflow.
Setup and execute effective Morning Meeting
Follow Project Management Office and Cost to Serve principles across the organisation
Monitor project in and outflow and build analysis on project type, fragmentation, and adherence to PMO principles
Train and build change management programs to build understanding and adoption of those principles across the organisation.
Ambassador of IFF new capabilities / tools and effective execution & roll-out for respective Creative Center.
Required Skills and Experience:
Min 12-15 year industry experience preferable in scent design or commercial role
Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in science, chemistry or business
Preferred Masters in Fragrance and/or business
Good understanding of AME region & cultural affinity
Strong passion for fragrance, innovation & product culture
Prior experience in managing & leading teams
Good composure, Interpersonal Savvy, Self-Motivated and Problem Solver with strong Organizational Skills.
Fluent in English. Arabic would be a plus.
