Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate crawler cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials or equipment according to lifting plans and supervisor instructions. Conduct pre-start inspections and routine checks on crane components such as booms, cables, hooks, and safety devices. Set up cranes properly, ensuring stability, correct positioning, and safe ground conditions. Read and interpret load charts and lifting plans to ensure lifts are within crane capacity. Communicate effectively with riggers and signalmen during lifting operations using standard hand signals or radios. Adhere to all site safety rules, company policies, and UAE HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards. Report any mechanical issues, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions immediately to the maintenance or safety department. Keep records of daily operations, inspections, maintenance, and fuel usage. Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and refresher training programs. Assist in maintaining crane cleanliness and minor maintenance as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid UAE

Crane Operator Licence / Permit

for crawler cranes. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

operating crawler cranes on construction or industrial projects (preferably within the UAE or GCC). Sound knowledge of crane load charts, rigging, and lifting procedures. Ability to understand technical drawings, lift plans, and safety symbols. Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic an advantage). Physically fit, able to work in outdoor and high-temperature environments.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard identification. Excellent coordination and judgment in load handling. Reliability, discipline, and teamwork. Ability to work long shifts and adapt to changing site conditions.

Working Conditions:

Work primarily on construction or industrial sites across the UAE. Must wear required PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, vest, etc.). May involve extended working hours, weekends, or night shifts depending on project schedule.
