Job Description

Crane Operation:

Maneuvering cranes to lift, move, and place heavy objects with precision and according to safety guidelines.

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all operations adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations, including pre-lift inspections, load calculations, and communication with ground crew.

Equipment Maintenance:

Performing routine checks and maintenance on cranes and related equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Load Management:

Accurately assessing load weights, understanding load charts, and ensuring loads are within the crane's capacity.

Communication and Coordination:

Effectively communicating with ground crew, supervisors, and other team members using hand signals, radios, or other communication methods.

Site Preparation:

Assisting in the setup and dismantling of crane equipment, ensuring proper placement and stability.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of crane operations, including load details, times, and locations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:

Ability to operate various types of cranes, including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, and understanding of crane controls, functions, and limitations.

Safety Awareness:

A thorough understanding of safety regulations, procedures, and best practices for crane operations.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks related to crane operation.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulousness in inspecting equipment, following load charts, and ensuring accurate placement of loads.

Communication and Teamwork:

Effective communication skills for collaborating with ground crew and supervisors.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and address minor equipment issues or operational challenges.

Experience:

Previous experience in crane operation, including knowledge of different crane types and relevant regulations.
