Crane Operator
Job Description
Operate mobile, overhead, or tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place materials and equipment.
Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions during crane operations.
Perform daily inspection and routine maintenance checks on the crane before use.
Report mechanical issues, malfunctions, or needed repairs to maintenance teams.
Determine load weights and ensure they do not exceed crane capacity.
Secure loads properly using slings, shackles, and hooks as required.
Communicate with signalmen, riggers, and supervisors for safe loading/unloading.
Adhere to UAE safety standards, construction site rules, and company operating procedures.
Maintain a valid UAE crane operator license as required by law (e.g., RTA/DM/DOT certified).
Use radios, hand signals, or verbal commands to coordinate with site teams.
Work closely with ground personnel to ensure clear understanding during operations.
