Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and safety-oriented Hydraulic Crawler Crane Operator to join our team for onshore and offshore heavy equipment operations. This role requires operating Liebherr hydraulic crawler cranes (300-600 Ton) in challenging conditions, including drill rigging, land compaction, and heavy lifting tasks. Candidates must have a strong understanding of crane mechanics, safe load handling, and must be flexible to work across construction sites and offshore platforms. The role may also require performing rigger duties when crane operations are not active.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Liebherr hydraulic crawler cranes (300-600 Ton) across onshore and offshore projects for lifting, compaction, and rigging operations. Conduct daily inspections, equipment checks, and ensure routine maintenance is performed for optimal crane performance. Safely manage crane loads by following lift plans, load charts, and site-specific protocols. Perform equipment inspections, report issues, and coordinate timely repairs to prevent downtime. Handle crane transport, assembly, and disassembly as per manuals and project requirements. Collaborate with riggers, signalmen, supervisors, and offshore personnel to execute lifts accurately and safely. Perform rigger duties when crane operations are not active or as required by workload. Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, sketches, and load specifications. Calculate load weights, wire rope sizing, sheave selections, and appropriate lifting gear using basic arithmetic. Maintain accurate records, including lift logs, timesheets, daily inspections, and maintenance reports. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and maintain strict HSE, PPE, and offshore safety compliance. Operate cranes in hazardous, confined, or offshore environments with precision and full concentration.

Mandatory Requirements:

Valid UAE License - Crane Operation Category No. 8. Extensive experience operating Liebherr hydraulic crawler cranes (300-600 Ton). Proven background in land compaction, offshore lifting, drill rigging, and site crane operations. Ability to work long hours in physically demanding onshore and offshore environments. Strong familiarity with rigging practices, load charts, lifting signals, and equipment safety. Competent in routine maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.

Key Skills:

Expert knowledge of safe crane operation, load distribution, and lifting techniques. Precision in equipment inspection, crane setup/disassembly, and operational safety. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and basic repairs. Ability to follow verbal and non-verbal (signal-based) instructions accurately. Skilled in rigging operations and use of lifting gear. Ability to maintain detailed records and reports.

Matric / 10th Passed
