Job Description

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Psychology lessons in line with the British Curriculum (e.g., Cambridge/Edexcel/AQA). Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards. Use a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Encourage critical thinking, research, and analysis among students. Design, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress. Maintain accurate records of student achievement, progress, and behavior. Prepare and submit progress reports and contribute to parent-teacher meetings. Support students in developing study skills, research techniques, and exam strategies. Guide and mentor students preparing for IGCSE, AS, and A-Level Psychology examinations. Foster interest in psychology through debates, discussions, and real-life case studies. Encourage students to apply psychological concepts to everyday life and future career paths. Contribute to the development and improvement of the Psychology curriculum. Select and develop appropriate teaching materials, digital tools, and resources. Integrate cross-curricular links and ensure lessons are relevant and engaging. Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Implement effective behavior management strategies in line with school policy. Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are upheld at all times. Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, training, and professional development. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching quality. Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as psychology clubs, research projects, or student seminars. Stay updated with developments in psychology and education, applying innovative methods in teaching.
