You will be overseeing effective communication and provide strategic guidance for the business internal and external communications programs. Ensuring executional excellence in all communications measures for the organization. You will be a part of the Middle East and Africa communications team in Hitachi Energy and report to Head of Communications, MEA and South America and South Korea. Your responsibilities
  • Taking responsibilities for all communications activities in Egypt, North and Central Africa in close cooperation with the respective country manager.
  • Planning, implementing and following up of all communication activities, both internal and external, and to all relevant target groups.
  • Taking responsibility that includes both brand positioning, employee engagement, content marketing and media relations in Egypt, North and Central Africa.
  • Coordinating responsibility for the activities in terms of planning, production, and execution in accordance with the communication plan as per country’s needs.
  • Proposing and following up measurements of communication activities.
  • Planning, supporting, preparing, and managing responses to positive and negative inquiries from externals sources including crisis and issue related social media escalations and responses.
  • Creating informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, launches, and related marketing materials. Responding to communication related issues in a timely manner.
  • Developing and managing the business internal and external communications in alignment with business themes and country priorities.
  • Managing the application of the brand per Group guidelines and ensure the consistent application of visual branding and business messages in all communications and supporting the local business leadership team with executive communications.
  • Establishing an internal communications strategy, ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
  • Providing management guidance and developing business messages and execute key events such as industry conferences, tradeshows, and employee meetings in line with corporate branding strategy as well as developing and managing relationships with media.
  • Defining and leading execution of the communication strategy for the business Egypt, North and Central Africa, based on the overall business and market strategy. Regularly measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the communication strategy against agreed objectives and KPIs.

Your background
  • A bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in media and content interactions, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation.
  • Experience in both cross function and International cross culture.
  • Knowledge in digital communications channels and the power of social media.
  • Proven experience to analyze and develop relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders.
  • Strong networking ability and multi-cultural credentials.
  • Proven experience to analyze, develop and collaborate relevant metrics in dealing with different stakeholders internally and externally, be a people person.
  • Solid experience to deal with media request, both mainstream as well as trade.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
