Job Description

The ideal candidate is a highly imaginative and organized individual with excellent knowledge of fashion and style. The Costume Designer must be capable of creating costumes for our live events, shows, and productions. They must be proficient in working with budgets, costume design, and being able to negotiate with vendors.

Responsibilities:

Developing, designing, and constructing costumes for live events, shows, and productions.

Determining budgets for costume designs and materials.

Source cost-effective fabrics, materials, and accessories for costume design.

Coordinating all wardrobe department activities for live events, shows, and production.

Collaborating with production teams to design costumes that fit project theme ideas.

Discussing ideas and vision with costumes, director, actors, and producers.

Keeping track of costume designs, fabrics, materials, and budgets.

Inspecting costumes for any production issues.

Collecting and cataloging past costumes and designs.

Qualifications:

A degree in costume design and production/theater arts.

Excellent knowledge of fashion and style.

Ability to generate and execute costume ideas.

Creative, organized, and detail-oriented.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work on a tight budget and timeline.
