COST ESTIMATION ENGINEER

Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects before initiation, as well as monitoring and controlling costs during execution to ensure financial targets are met and waste or unplanned expenditures are minimized.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare quantities and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Study engineering drawings, plans and specifications.

Accurately prepare quantities and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Price materials, equipment, and labor based on the local market.

Prepare quotations and participate in tenders.

Analyze bids and compare suppliers.

Prepare detailed budgets and spending plans for each phase.

Monitor actual expenses against estimates.

Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare periodic cost reports for management.

Coordinate with the procurement department to obtain accurate pricing.

Collaborate with project management to assess cost impacts on the schedule.

Support financial and technical decision-making based on actual data.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Marine, etc.).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation and control.

Strong knowledge of: AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software (such as Candy or CostOS).

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel, Primavera, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Ability to prepare financial reports and conduct cost forecasting.
