Position: Cost Estimator - Mechanical Type of Contract: Permanent Experience: Minimum 7 Years of Experience in Oil & Gas Field Reporting to: Manager Projects Requirements: Reviewing proposal specifications, and drawings, attend pre bid meetings, etc to determine the scope of work and required contents of an estimate. Experience in Estimation A/G and U/G Pipelines, Piping, Structural Steel Works, Tanks, Equipment Erection etc. Prepare complete discipline estimates by calculating take off scope of work from very limited or conceptual data, Calculating NDT and consumable cost. Able to Read and Understand GA, Plot Plan, Isometric & PID Calculating man hours. Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations. Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product. Preparing Technical & Commercial proposal, Prepares Level 1 & 2 schedules for labor, materials and equipment Experience in MS Project / Primavera is an added advantage. Communicating with multiple customers in a bid meeting environment Prepare and send to client for the Technical and commercial queries Perusing best price from sub vendor for submitting final and best quotation to client with respect to their negotiation Evaluated contract changes for estimating cost impact Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, cost comparison forms, and bills of materials) to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates. Maintain files of working documents for back up to estimating figures. Preparation of budget upon award of Order. Attending Kick of meeting (KOM) within other department and client Be prepared to review details of estimate with management. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Developing and maintaining customer relationship. Maintain and updating directory for potential client / vendors Record Keeping, Suppliers/Manufacturers Data Bank records. Proficient in Microsoft Office Package.
