Job Description

Job Title: Cost Controller
Location: Dubai Investment Park, Dubai, UAE
Reports To: Finance Director
Purpose of the Role:
The Cost Controller will oversee the cost control processes within our central kitchen, ensuring efficient inventory management, menu engineering, and the validation of the cost of goods sold during the month-end close. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Monitor and control food and beverage costs.
Minimize wastage by regulating ordering and production processes.
Perform menu engineering and cost analysis.
Maintain strict control over stock receipt and issue procedures.
Ensure scales in the receiving section meet required standards.
Resolve any discrepancies regarding invoices or stock with the Procurement department.
Ensure the kitchen consistently follows standard recipes.
Regularly validate yield rates in the system through yield testing.
Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting in the system.
Coordinate and analyze stock counts, addressing discrepancies in opening, transfers, consumed, and closing stocks.
Investigate and address any variance causes, implementing measures to mitigate them.
Perform outlet audits as planned with the Finance team.
Validate and prepare monthly cost of goods sold reports across all divisions.
Produce ad-hoc reports for different departments as needed.
Maintain and update master data for raw materials and menu items in the system.
Support IT team with system developments as required.
Assist with general financial management and analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Professional Requirements:
A qualified accountant from a recognized institution with at least 5 years of experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE.
Experience in industries such as retail or FMCG is preferred.
Candidates already residing and working in the UAE will be given preference.
Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
