In this role, you will support the project team by managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and helping control project costs from start to finish. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a contracting environment and understands the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost forecasts.
Track actual project costs vs. planned budgets; analyze variances.
Work closely with procurement and contracts teams to manage vendor and subcontractor costs.
Review and process invoices and payment applications.
Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow statements.
Support in the evaluation of change orders and claims.
Assist in project close-out reporting and final cost analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in cost control, preferably within a contracting or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment.
Strong understanding of contracting practices, tendering, and commercial terms.
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong Excel and reporting skills.
Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard contract forms is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
