The ideal candidate will provide expert-level guidance in cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to financial targets and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update project cost control systems, tools, and procedures.
Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and cost performance reports.
Conduct detailed cost analysis to track project expenditures against budgets and forecasts.
Monitor project progress and identify cost trends or deviations early to mitigate financial risk.
Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
Analyze and validate contractors' cost reports and progress claims.
Coordinate with planning/scheduling teams to ensure alignment between cost and schedule data.
Review project change orders, assess cost impact, and integrate approved changes into the cost control system.
Provide cost input for cash flow analysis and financial planning.
Participate in project reviews, audits, and risk management workshops.
Ensure compliance with client and company financial guidelines and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
Minimum
5 years
of experience in cost control or cost engineering roles, preferably in consultancy or large-scale projects.
Proficient in cost control software such as
Primavera P6

Eco Sys

SAP
, or
Oracle Cost Management
.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Familiar with earned value management (EVM) and project controls best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Professional certifications (e.g., CCP from AACE, PMP) are a plus.
