Job Description

Job roles and Responsibilities:

Identify deviations from the project budget and ensure that the cost impact of all changes is captured and is claimed from the client, and /or deducted from the responsible subcontractor. Update monthly all the aspects that delineate the Cost to Complete Report. Liaise with Finance & Accounts Department and various operations support staff for current and accurate cost data for the preparation of cost reports. Revise project cost estimate at the end of every reporting period to generate forecast at completion. Validate the Cost Code in every Material Requisition and Store Issue Voucher for the proper alignment of the material costs as per each budget item. Evaluation of reports / data determined by entailed department/section in connection to the Project Cost; Confirmation of material requisitions and give directive to the involved individual if reconsideration is required; Permit / Decline system modification subsequent to profound analysis of its advantage and disadvantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying. Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and superiors/managers. Has the capability to prepare, develop and analyse budgets; Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to monitor and control projects as per approved budget. Has fair understanding of project cost management, process improvement, budget tracking of expenses, performance management and contracts. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic language is an additional skill. Excellent knowledge and skills in the use of MS Office. 3 years or more of experience as a Cost Control Engineer or Quantity Surveyor, working with Main Contractors.
