Cost Control: Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis

: Oversee and analyze cost expenditures and projections within projects to ensure they stay within budget.

Budget Management

: Develop and maintain project budgets, preparing cost estimates and forecasts based on project specifications and historical data.

Monitoring and Reporting

: Track actual spending against the budget, prepare project cost reports, and document cost procedures and processes.

Collaboration

: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to gather project progress data and ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively.

Cost-Saving Initiatives

: Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Assessment

: Conduct risk assessments to minimize financial risks associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Planning and Scheduling:

Develop comprehensive project schedules, factoring in materials, labor, and equipment availability. Utilize project management software to track progress, identify delays, and adjust schedules accordingly. Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of their tasks. Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines. Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with bidding and proposal preparation. Research and stay informed about new materials, technologies, and construction practices. Maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project efficiency.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Important: 2-3 years of experience in cost control and/or project planning in the landscaping construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and practices. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented and highly organized.
