Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Cost Analyst

to join our team in the civil construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, analyzing profit and loss, identifying variations, and supporting management with timely cost reports and technical analysis. The role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, project budgeting, and cost control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost forecasts. Prepare accurate

profit and loss reports

for individual projects. Identify and evaluate

variations

in scope, quantity, and materials, and assess their financial impacts. Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to assess

technical submissions

, shop drawings, and BOQs for compliance and cost implications. Develop and maintain cost control systems and tools to track performance and spending. Conduct variance analysis and prepare cost-benefit studies for ongoing and upcoming projects. Monitor subcontractor and supplier payments to ensure cost alignment with budget. Assist in pricing for tenders and prepare cost data for commercial proposals. Support in the preparation of monthly cost reports and financial projections. Coordinate with procurement, planning, and finance departments for data consistency and reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) as a Cost Analyst / Cost Engineer in civil construction projects. Strong understanding of project cost structures, estimation, and budget control. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, cost control software (e.g. Candy, CCS, Primavera), and ERP systems. Knowledge of UAE construction standards and contract practices (FIDIC is a plus). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and report writing skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
