The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring corrosion protection strategies to ensure the integrity and longevity of assets, structures, and pipelines. This role is critical in maintaining operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement corrosion protection systems (e.g., cathodic protection, coatings, inhibitors) for onshore/offshore assets.
Conduct corrosion assessments, inspections, and failure analysis.
Develop and oversee corrosion monitoring programs.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., NACE, ISO, ASTM).
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to enhance asset integrity.
Provide recommendations for material selection and surface protection during project design.
Supervise contractors and review technical documents for corrosion protection scope.
Support audits and client inspections as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
Certified and Registered
Engineer in the UAE (Society of Engineers or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of experience in corrosion engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or industrial sector.
Familiarity with cathodic protection systems, corrosion inhibitors, coatings, and inspection techniques.
Knowledge of NACE/AMPP certification (preferred).
Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
UAE driving license (preferred).
