Jacobs is looking for a Corrosion Engineer specialized in determining ways to repair and prevent corrosion on Onshore and Offshore Projects in the Middle East Region.

As a Corrosion Engineer and a member of the Material Engineering team, you will be developing Materials and Corrosion Control deliverables alongside Material Selection, Corrosion Monitoring and Corrosion Inhibition Philosophies. You will be preparing Definition of the anticorrosion strategy using CP/ COATING / PAINTING / CHEMICAL TREATMENT/ CRA (corrosion resistant alloy) in order to optimize quality and costs. You will be developing Material Selection Report for Sour as per NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103 requirements, Material Selection Diagrams, general Specification for Painting & Coating. You will be working with a great team so you must have an open and approachable nature, who strives to help and inspire others and provide the necessary inputs/data to other disciplines as per the requirements and procedures. You will be responsible for performing corrosion failure analysis upon Project/ Assets request. Also, you will be assessing the inter-discipline documents (IDC), Vendor\'s Coordination and review of Vendor material and painting procedures. You will be responsible for your professional input to the Technical Proposals/ Bids, Technical Clarifications and CTR/Man-hours estimations. There will be the option for you to get involved in HAZOP/HAZID workshops (as required). This is a great opportunity for you to meet with Clients, Vendors and Material Suppliers and interface with Client representatives to resolve any technical issues and participate in safety and design review meetings e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Model, along with Client and representatives of other engineering disciplines. Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

As a successful candidate you will have a bachelor\'s degree in metallurgical sciences or an engineering degree that relates to the type of work you want to do, such as Chemical or Mechanical engineering. You will be highly proficient in using corrosion calculation software such as ECE-5 and have knowledge of codes/standards such as NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156, Shell DEPs. You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Positive Material Identification (PMI). You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge in Welding and Heat Treatment and be an expert in Cathodic Protection Philosophy, specification, and design. Good confident communication, with good writing and presentation skills.
